About

Hi, I’m Anjali!

I’m a full time Instagram/TikTok/YouTube content creator, recipe developer, and freelance food videographer and photographer, specializing in short format videos (reels, tiktok, shorts etc).

Quick Q&A

LOCATION:

Grenoble, France. I lived in India until the age of 22 and then came to Europe to do first, a master thesis in Vienna, Austria and then a PhD in physics in France. I finished my PhD in the summer of 2022. Officially a doctor (not the real kind though. lol.)!

I let my followers call me Dr. Butterfingers as a joke since I break most of my crockeries from being so clumsy!

CURRENT JOB:

As I mentioned before, I am a full-time content creator now. Which means, I create content for a living. Although, it is not the “traditional” content creation on my page that pays my bills. I do freelance content creation for other brands and blogs and that’s my main source of income right now. YouTube Adsense doesn’t pay much and neither do I get as many brand deals as some of the other fellow creators do due to my location (Indian living in France), which is fine, as long as I get to create content for a living, I’m happy! 😀

EDUCATION:

B.Tech+ M.Tech in Nanotechnology and PhD in Nanophysics.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE INGREDIENT TO COOK WITH?

Legumes (chickpeas, lentils etc) and LOTS OF SPICES (I can’t live without them).

WHAT KIND OF RECIPES CAN I FIND HERE?

You’ll find a collection of different kinds of delicious vegan recipes, such as:

WHEN AND WHY DID YOU GO VEGAN?

I had been vegan for a year back in 2016 after watching several shocking documentaries of the reality of animal farming and the impact on the environment. But I was so bad at cooking, that I only ate junk foods like oreos and instant ramen. I had to stop due to health reasons.

Then in the early 2020 (4 years later), I watched Okja and I went vegan again, this time equipped with the knowledge of cooking and nutrition. I eat delicious and healthy foods and this time, I’m staying vegan for good!

HOBBIES (OUTSIDE FOOD):

If I’m not filming food videos for my page or for my clients, I’m on my laptop trying to figure out how to improve myself with online courses and lessons.

I’m also a huge YouTube fan and read as many books as I can. Once of my favourites recently has been Educated by Tara Westover!

Other than that, I love visiting new cities and towns, I love diving into different cultures and their traditional foods.

WHAT WILL I LEARN HERE?

  • Amazing Indian plant-based recipes that you will want to keep coming back to.
  • The science behind cooking. It’s not JUST an art. There is a science behind flavours and I wish to share it with you all.
  • Understanding legumes, vegetables, grains, and nuts and how to prepare them in various ways. Basically, how to utilize them to recreate non-vegan favorite foods.

HOW TO START COOKING AS A BEGINNER?

I used to hate cooking until my early adult life. I started with burnt horrible food that wasn’t humanly edible. Slowly, with hours of painful practice, I have come to a point where I know I can make good food from scratch that won’t disappoint.

So my advice is to practice recipes (not just sandwiches or oatmeal) out of your comfort zone. Follow blogs and chefs and try to understand why they do what they do. I know this helped me a lot. And once you start feeling more confident in your skills, start experimenting. Good luck!

AND if you want to take your home cooking to the next level, join the waiting list for my cooking course here. I take you through the basics of Indian cooking!

My Mission

I plan to make a vegan lifestyle super fun and doable for people. I hear people saying a vegan diet is boring or “how can one live without cheese or meat?” but I’m here to change that. I know there’s thousands of flavourful vegan recipes out there that fit each and every person’s taste but most aren’t aware of this.

I also wish to create the most beautiful photos and videos of the food I make and help others do the same. Feel free to check out my portolio if that interests you.
